Bulletproof Chemical Storage Flooring — 1,200 SF

Chemical-resistant flooring built to handle the harshest compounds in your facility

Chemical storage areas are the toughest environment in any food processing facility. Acids, caustics, sanitizers, and aggressive cleaning compounds attack the floor every single day. Standard flooring doesn't stand a chance. That's why this dairy facility called us to install 1,200 square feet of bulletproof chemical storage flooring.

Before: Worn Concrete Under Chemical Attack

Chemical storage area before — worn concrete floor with staining, cracking, and chemical containers Chemical storage area with large tanks and deteriorating concrete floor with yellow line markings

The existing concrete was cracked, stained, and deteriorating under constant chemical exposure. The drain trenches were failing, and the floor offered zero protection against spills and splashes.

The System

We designed a four-step system specifically for this chemical storage environment:

  • Aggressive scarification — ground down existing resinous flooring to bare concrete
  • SaniCrete SL — 3/8" self-leveling cementitious urethane foundation
  • SaniCoat 250CR topcoat — chemical-resistant topcoat designed to resist harsh acid attack and aggressive cleaning compounds
  • Yellow zone markings — chemical storage area demarcation for safety compliance

After: Protected and Compliant

Completed chemical storage floor — seamless gray SaniCrete SL with SaniCoat 250CR topcoat, yellow zone markings, and red chemical area

The finished floor is seamless, chemical-resistant, and clearly marked. The SaniCoat 250CR topcoat protects the facility during chemical incidents and keeps operations running. Every square inch is built to handle whatever gets spilled, splashed, or washed across it.

We back this system with a 5-year no-hassle warranty. When we say bulletproof, we mean it.
